NVC: NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION

In the spring of 2005, seven employees from Community Partners Inc. attended intensive training with Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, the founder and director of the educational Center for Non-Violent Communication. Today, after five years of training, integration and exploration, we are creating an organization that supports relationships built on mutual respect and compassion. We believe that by deeply listening to one another, we can identify needs and develop an environment built on trust and cooperation, rather than “power over.”

This approach continues to have a significant impact on the way we support people to live valued lives and enjoy meaningful employment. In 2010-11, we are offering a variety of NVC and Restorative Circle training sessions to all employees, as well as to the people we support.
