FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine (July 27, 2011) – The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded Community Partners, Inc. (CPI) a $3,000 grant to fund computer and information technology installation at their new group home in Lewiston. The new technology meets the foundation’s goals to support projects that make communities more prosperous, livable, and vibrant.

According to Tina Andrews, CPI’s Director of Finance, “We are very grateful to receive the generous grant from Bangor Savings Bank, which has enabled us to take full advantage of the telecommunication technologies available today, including digital record keeping. The home is fully wired to support the changing needs of staff and the people we support.” The new 5-person group home, known as Lewiston Ridge, replaces three rental properties and is located on the CPI nursing home campus on Old Lisbon Road.

A 501(c) 3 non-profit, CPI has been providing direct support services to individuals with developmental disabilities since 1967. Programs include independent living, employment support, community inclusion services, and senior enrichment. Individuals are supported residentially with a variety of housing options, ranging from supported independent living to licensed facilities in communities throughout York, Cumberland, Androscoggin and Kennebec Counties.
