CPI MANAGEMENT RESTRUCTURE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Community Partners Announces Management Restructuring
BIDDEFORD, Maine (January 5, 2012) – As part of strategic planning for the coming year in anticipation of state budget cuts, the Community Partners, Inc. (CPI) Board of Directors announces the restructure and reconfiguration of the management and leadership team. The new plan replaces the shared leadership model in favor of one Chief Executive Officer who will oversee the Human Services organization. The Director of Operations and Director of Finance positions have been eliminated, and the Information Technology Department has been downsized to one person. The Director of Human Resources and Director of Clinical Services positions have remained unchanged. The position of Manager of Development will change to Director of Development.
The Board has hired an interim CEO, Suzanne Benoit, LCSW, SPHR, to assess and determine the needs and effectiveness of these departments, reorganizing them as needed to meet long-term objectives; and to review policies and make recommendations for change as needed. Benoit is also charged with conducting a search for a permanent CEO and other positions as necessary. The goal of the strategic plan is to ensure a sustainable organization, maintaining top quality service and supports to the adults with developmental disabilities who receive residential and day services. CPI and the Board of Directors look forward to working with state agencies, partner agencies, businesses, clients, families and guardians moving forward through this transition period.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, CPI has been providing direct support services to adults with developmental disabilities since 1967. Programs include independent living, employment support, community inclusion services, and senior enrichment. Individuals are also supported residentially with a variety of housing options, ranging from supported independent living to licensed facilities in communities throughout Southern and Central Maine.
